2018 Block Party
In celebration of National Meet Your Neighbor Day FCFTucson put on a Block Party for our neighbors. We had 56 volunteers participate in demonstrating the love of Jesus by hosting a party that showed our neighbors that they are important. This was our first undertaking of this size and through the process we not only reached out to our neighbors but also built community amongst ourselves. There was a lot of preparation that took place as well as prayer and unity building. We had approximately 100 people from the neighborhood that came and participated in the event. Over 260 games were played and 54 faces were painted. Over 200 snow cones were served. 200 plus bottles of water were given away and over 150 people jumped in the jumping castles. We had quite a number of people participate in karaoke. The crowd enjoyed food from two of Tucson's premier food trucks; Jozzarellis and Star Kettle Corn. We had 3 very special guests in attendance...Queen Elsa, Wonder Woman, and T-Rex. We also had participation from our neighboring businesses---including several booths and some great prizes donated by our sponsors.
